Terms & Conditions

Services Rendered: Atkinson Contracting agrees to provide non-hazardous solid waste collection and disposal services as specified herein and customer agrees to make payments and abide by the terms and conditions of this agreement as specified herein.

Waste Material: This agreement is for non-hazardous solid waste which can be disposed of at non-hazardous solid waste landfills. Customer is responsible for ensuring that waste materials that are banned from landfill disposal are not placed in the rented dumpster and agrees to pay charges and fines, including but not limited to those contained herein if banned wastes are present in the rented dumpster. Some of the waste items banned (tires, liquids, paint, flammables, anything hazardous or explosive, plants, dirt, stone ETC)

Payments: Customer agrees to make payments for any and all charges contained herein. If a credit card is initially used for payment, customer agrees to allow Atkinson Contracting to charge a 3% credit card fee to the total amount. Customer agrees to make immediate payment for all fees and charges and to pay 1.5% annual interest and all attorney fees, court costs, and lien processing fees for past due balances.

Payment & Fraud Policy: Full payment is required upon dumpster delivery. Customers may pay online, by phone, or with cash at the time of drop-off. If paying with cash, a valid photo ID is required at delivery. All cash bookings require a copy of a government-issued photo ID to verify identity and protect against fraudulent transactions. Atkinson Contracting reserves the right to cancel any booking that does not comply with these requirements.

Driving Areas and Equipment: Customer agrees to provide unobstructed access to dumpster during pickup time. Customer agrees and hold harmless Atkinson Contracting against any damage caused by trucks or dumpsters to curbs, driveways, or any driving surface or service areas. Additionally, customer agrees to not overload containers above top rim of dumpster or overload by weight (max weight 8 ton maximum payload)​

Dumpster Ownership & Liability: Once a dumpster is delivered and filled at a property or job site, its contents become the property of Atkinson Contracting. By law, you cannot remove or discard materials from the dumpster once it's been used, even if it's on your property. Removing contents from the dumpster may be considered tampering with company property. If the dumpster is filled, you are responsible for full payment, regardless of who placed the contents inside.

Outside Service Area Disclaimer: If your service location is outside our standard North Jersey service radius, Atkinson Contracting reserves the right to cancel or adjust your booking. Additional travel or disposal fees may apply.


Dry Run / Failed Service Fee:

A non-refundable $200 dry run fee will be charged per occurrence any time a truck is dispatched to your location and Atkinson Contracting is unable to complete delivery, swap, or pickup for reasons outside of our control.


Examples of situations that will result in a dry run fee include, but are not limited to:

• Multiple dumpster companies booked: Our driver arrives and is told the customer hired another dumpster company instead and our dumpster is no longer wanted.

• Blocked access for pickup or delivery: A car, trailer, equipment, or materials are parked in the drop zone or in front of the dumpster so our truck cannot safely load or unload.

• Locked or restricted access: A gate is locked, access code is not provided, or no one is on site to allow entry at the scheduled time.

• Unsafe or inaccessible site conditions: Low wires or branches, soft ground, snow, mud, or debris prevent safe access to the drop or pickup location.


If a dry run occurs, service must be rescheduled and an additional $200 dry run fee will apply for each subsequent failed attempt.​



24-Hour Cancellation / Reschedule Policy
Customers have 24 hours from the time of booking to cancel their dumpster rental with no cancellation fee, regardless of the scheduled delivery date.

After the initial 24-hour window has passed, any cancellation made before the scheduled delivery date may be charged a $200 cancellation fee.


If a cancellation occurs after a truck has already been dispatched or has arrived on site, it may be treated as a dry run and charged the $200 dry run fee instead of, or in addition to, the cancellation fee.


Example: If you book a dumpster on November 24th for a delivery on December 1st, you may cancel without a fee until November 25th at the same time the order was placed. Any cancellation after that time may be subject to a $200 cancellation fee.
